WHAT WE ARE: Sky Valley is a simple family style operation catering to simple family style people. Our units were constructed from the early 50's to the mid seventies. We make a great effort to keep things up-to-date, well maintained and clean. Our management and staff operate in a low-key, friendly mode to try to make you feel right at home.

WHAT WE ARE NOT: If you are looking for a 2007 vintage, sparkling new condo, need someone to fuss over your every sneeze, unpack your car, deliver food to your room and put a mint on your pillow then Sky Valley is probably not for you. While you usually won't see any, If the mere sight of an ant or a spider will totally ruin your day then maybe you should reconsider. Simply put, Sky Valley is not for everyone. 2008 is my 33rd year operating Sky Valley and since a substantial part of our business comes from repeat customers we must be doing something right.

OUR CHECK IN TIME is 3 PM, (if your unit was not rented the night before you can check in first thing in the morning) OUR CHECK OUT TIME is 10 a.m. for Cottages and Apartments with Kitchens and 11 a.m for the motel type units. All guests are welcome to stay the entire day of their check-out date provided they have vacated their unit)

Unit Occupancy is strictly limited to the sleeping capacity as provided in the unit. The maximum unit capacities are included with the unit descriptions. Additional people over the maximum are not allowed and must rent their own separate room. All bodies are counted towards the maximum occupancy, including babies and newborns.

PAYMENT: We accept Discover, MasterCard or VISA. You can even pay with cash if you like. Both Off-Season and In-Season "free nights" must be consecutive days in the same unit.
None of Our Units have air conditioning since we rarely need it. The night time temperatures here are usually in the lower 70's in the summer. If you have allergies and must live in a closed-up environment at a constant temperature you should probably consider other accommodations. All our units were designed with the concept that fresh air is important and our windows provide excellent cross ventilation...we also provide fans in all units for those dozen or so "sticky-nights" that inevitably occur during July and August.

There is no refund for early departures unless we are able to re-rent your reserved time. WHAT TO BRING: All units include sheets, towels, blankets, pillows etc. Kitchens are fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker etc. You might want to bring along beach towels for the pool.

CANCELLATIONS: Cottage and Apartment Units require 30 Days notice for a deposit refund. Cancellations with less than 30 days notice will be CHARGED ONE NIGHTS RENTAL. The Motel Units can be cancelled with 7 days notice for a deposit refund. Cancellations in Motel Units with less than 7 days notice will be CHARGED ONE NIGHTS RENTAL. All Cancellations will be charged a $20. processing fee regardless of notification time.

Wireless Internet: Most units can receive a signal from our on-site wireless system. Reception is spotty in the area of the Cottages and Chalet 3. Much depends on the capabilities of your laptop computer.
MAID SERVICE: Motel Units receive full maid service every day. The Units with kitchens, Cottages and Apartments will be provided with a sheet change after 3 nights and we will be around every day to remove trash and change towels. We can provide full maid service at additional cost if you require it. During the WINTER months there is NO DAILY MAID service of any kind...you're on your own.

Barbecuing is permissible and we have many picnic tables around the property. You should bring along your own hibachi type grill. Many stores sell inexpensive grills that you won't mind abandoning when it's time to leave.
LOUD PEOPLE: Sky Valley is a family resort offering a rustic ambience and a casual informal setting. We prefer families and quiet responsible adults. Those looking for a big, noisy party are encouraged to seek other accommodations. We will not tolerate behaviors that infringes on other peoples quiet enjoyment of the property...

PETS: Sorry, absolutely no pets are permitted on the grounds, not even if they stay in your car. LAUNDRY SERVICES: Chalet #3 is the only unit with a washer/dryer. The closest Laundromat is a nice facility located five miles distant, in Glen, a the Glen Ellis Family Campground (open year round).

Motel unit extensions and chalet #26 are your room number preceded by a 1...(example, Motel unit 15 would be 115).
The units 3, 5, 6 and 8 are the room number preceded by 10...(example, Cottage #8 extension is 108.
Apartment "A" is 130, Apartment "B" is 131, Apartment "C" is 132 Apartment "D" is 133.
TELEPHONES: The phone in your room will make outgoing calls. local and 800 numbers can be called free. Anything else requires a calling card, either one issued by your home phone company or one of the prepaid jobs that are sold almost everywhere. If you expect INCOMING calls the caller must call 603 374 6320. It's an automated service and the caller will need your room extension, which you can find in the Column to the left.
