HERE IS THE WHITE MOUNTAINS AREA MAP.  PLEASE CLICK ON IT FOR A VERSION YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE. This map shows the entire length of the Kancamagus Highway from Lincoln to Conway and includes the Bear Notch Road.  It shows the major points of interest along the route and a few of the popular hiking trails. WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO GET TO SKY VALLEY?

If you are driving from the south, the least congested way to get to Sky Valley is Rte 93 to the Kancamagus Highway (Rte112) and then the Bear Notch Road into Bartlett Village. It's about ten minutes longer to continue on Rte 93 to TWIN MOUNTAIN, then take Route 302 east to Sky Valley. In the winter months the Bear Notch Road is Closed.

Some people like to drive up Rte 16 and go thru North Conway. Please be advised that at Peak Vacation times the Traffic in North Conway can be very slow....In fact, sometimes you
can spend an hour (or more) going the fifteen miles from Albany to Glen. The main problem is you never know what you will encounter until you get there. It's usually not too bad except on Holiday Weekends. At those times you should seriously consider an alternate route. At other times, just be aware of the possibilities.
